The home Finally is so warm and welcoming

Our stay at “Finally” was amazing! Our family really enjoyed walking the nature trail to the beach everyday and riding our bikes around the neighborhood checking out all of the observation spots on the bay, not to mention the cut is absolutely beautiful at sunset and a must see. The house itself feels secluded, but only a short walk to the beach. We didn’t bring our dogs but noticed it would have been a great stay for them as well with the enclosed back porch. A great SGI stay!

My wife and I stayed at the Finally property in The Plantation for three weeks. We were amazed at the quality of the development known as The Plantation and quite pleased with the quality of the property we stayed at, its location within the development and within a 5 minute walk of the beachfront. We thoroughly enjoyed the getaway and immediately made reservations for 2025.
The Blue Parrot restaurant was the best place for us when dining out. The food was always delicious and the beachfront view was amazing.

Finally is a perfect house for our small family. Enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner at the house - such a well equipped kitchen, plenty of space for 2 or 3 to prep and cook. The entire space is well furnished and has everything you could want. The house is clean, beds comfortable - it is a gem!

Finally was all we were expecting and beyond.
This property was comfortable, quiet, and clean and had all we needed.
The house is a short walk from the beach, which we enjoyed A LOT with our mini Golden Doodle.
We also rented bikes which we highly recommend to ride during sunsets inside the Plantation.

This is a great property for two (or four) guests. It was very clean, well equipped and everything worked. Beach access is good and the Plantation is a pretty area with access to the club house facilities. Also, I found the staff with Forgotten Shores to be friendly, well organized and intent that our stay was enjoyable

"Finally" was just a perfect house for our vacation on St George Island and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and is very private. The house is very close to the swimming pool and the beach and we loved the bicycle paths all through The Plantation. The Plantation is beautiful.

"Finally" is a very nice smaller (two-bedroom) home in the Plantation. We appreciated having everything on one level, and the split bedroom design and large living area made the home very comfortable. It is a nicely furnished home with a large, well-equipped kitchen. And it was clean and well-maintained. There's just a small view of the Gulf from the home, but it's a short walk to the beach and feels relatively secluded, set back on a short street, with trees around it. And we appreciated that we could have our small dog along with us. We would recommend this rental to others and also recommend Forgotten Shores Properties.

Two weeks in a cozy and colorful cottage. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds. The roof porch had better cell service and star gazing. Easy to be in, clean and well maintained house.

This was our first visit to St George Island and we absolutely loved it! The house was the perfect size for our family of 5 and the Sunday-Sunday rental was ideal with little traffic coming into or leaving the island.

The house is well-appointed with a convenient location to the beach and the pool (on nearby Magnolia Lane). A block and a half from the beach down a path or on the road so super convenient. Neither beach nor pool were ever crowded at all!

We loved being in the plantation for pool access and Bob Sike’s Cut for a beautiful sunset. My son hoped to fish but could not find anywhere on the island to rent a pole.

The only two downsides to the house were no garbage disposal on sink (which may be due to the plumbing situation on the island) and only a charcoal grill (not gas). Other than those two minor things, we loved Finally and hope to be back for another visit!

This property checked all the boxes. This was our first trip to SGI and everything we heard was true. We had some concerns with not having a private pool and not being familiar with the Beaches or the access to them however those concerns were quickly erased. The two community pools within the Plantation were very close to the rental and Massive. Most of the time we had them all to ourselves. The Beach is a short walk around the corner which was made even easier with the free beach equipment and wagon that were provided with the rental. Another great surprise was the ocean views from the porch and Crows Nest. We were able to see Dolphins from the porch or the beach almost everyday. The home overall was very comfortable with plenty of seating and more than enough space for our family of 4. We had no problems whatsoever with anything. If I had any recommendations at all it would be for the owner to add games to the home. We brought some card games of our own but we do enjoy board games and such on those rainy days or sunburned evenings and it’s fun to see what rentals have and play games that you never have or haven’t in a while.

"Finally" is exactly as pictured; very clean, updated property with new appliances and remodeled kitchen. This property was better stocked with supplies than any property we have stayed at on SGI. Lindsay and Jamie at Forgotten Shores were really helpful and easy to work with when we changed the dates of our stay twice. We would rent this or another property from Forgotten Shores again. This is the first property review I have ever written.

Fabulous getaway- being super close to the beach, amazing bike path, and lovely locals of SGI. Forgotten Properties was great at communicating what to expect and made it so easy to enjoy our stay.

We have rented numerous times on SGI. Prefer to be in the Plantation, for the added trails and privacy. But it is just my husband and I , so finding a smaller property is often difficult. Finally was perfect for us! Updated, open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and wonderful 3/4 covered deck around the back. The property is very private , while very close to the beach. We could see and hear the ocean from the deck.
We are happy to find this property and hope to be able to book it again.

Jamie Polous was very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed the use of the property and were fortunate to have good weather 8 of the 10 days. The location to the beach and walkway access was very convenient.

Everything looks just like the pictures and even better in real life! It being pet friendly made it even better and the enclosed balcony was perfect for letting my dogs run around off leash! Absolutely loved everything from the cleanliness to the artwork hanging on the walls!

This house was extremely clean and comfortable. We were delighted to find that we had a view of the Gulf from several locations. Finally is only a short walk to the beach and a short bicycle ride to the community pool and fitness center. It was only a short distance to the Sikes Cut. All in all a great location. We would definitely book this house again.

First, Jamie is the best rental person in the world. She answered every question in a timely manner and went above and beyond to get tv working so we could see approaching storm. We killed lots of bugs--small roaches and spiders--throughout the house. Soothing colors, but the metal art everywhere looked cheap. Really too far from the beach to carry chairs, umbrellas, and such.

We loved everything except no path to the beach.

The house was just what we wanted. Clean, well kept and a nice size for us and our son's family. (two small grandchildren 2 and 4 yrs.) It is a pleasant short walk to the beach and a quiet tree lined setting. Jamie was great to work with, exceptional customer service, and we are booked for next year.

Overall it was a fun experience. The weather was perfect, the house lovely and the walk to the beach short. However the lock on the door to the deck did not work properly and I was locked out of the house. Combination locks would be better for the front door so you don't have to worry about keys and keys should open both front door and deck door. Management staff responded quickly to my problem.

Will definitely stay again!

This rental is even better than the pictures! We loved staying here while on Saint George Island and also highly recommend the Plantation. There is a lot of beautiful vegetation which makes the home more secluded. Every day we ate lunch out on the spacious porch and listened to the ocean waves. We rented bikes and found it to be one of our favorite things we did while on vacation. The bike trails in the Plantation are great and we also rode to the Island Center and visited the Lighthouse (also recommend) and ate at a couple of the restaurants. We would love to return!

We spent one fabulous week at Finally. It was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The house is not directly on the beach but it is just a short walk away. There are bike trails throughout the plantation that we enjoyed immensely. It is pet friendly and there is a great outdoor shower. The community pool is within biking and walking distance. The property manager was friendly and easy to get in touch with however we didn’t have any problems. We can’t wait to stay there again!!

Beautiful home. Everything we expected and more. Enjoyed nice relaxing evening with my fishing buddy hanging out on the wrap around deck with some cold drinks after a long day fishing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Finally. We were visiting for a wedding, and the location was convenient to all the events. The home itself was a short walk to the beach and filled with everything (and more) that we could need. We will definitely stay in this home again!

Finnally house was very nice and clean for the price. Very close to the beach. Plantation area was so private and well maintained. Pools were amazing. We brought are bikes and enjoyed the paved bike paths all over the plantation. Over all our week here was amazing.

Great house but homeowners in the plantation were very ugly to the people renting. We were referred to as seven day rental trash by a homeowner. We are a Christian family and have been renting for 25 yrs. and very surprised that’s how homeowners felt. Most homeowners need the 7 day rental to pay for costs to own a home. Would never stay in the Plantation again

Will definitely stay here again!! Clean and close to the beach with everything you need ! The very top of the house is amazing at nighttime looking at the stars! Definitely paradise! We have been to St George many times but this was our first time staying in the Plantation and staying in this house! Both were perfect and will do again ! No complaints at all!!!

Super clean house, well stocked kitchen. Looked just like photos on VRBO. In need of update although cute tropical beach theme decor.

The beach house, Cruz-Del-Sur, was conveniently located with easy access to the beach. The private gated community is tranquil and secure. The community pool area was well-maintained, and the large heated pool was appreciated.

Cruz del Sur was a great place for our annual family Labor Day trip to SGI. We rented this property and nearby Heaven Sent. The layout for Cruz is a bit unusual, but worked well. Being across from the boardwalk and near the community pool was very convenient. Forgotten Shores is absolutely the best agency to work with on the island! Highly recommend.

We so enjoyed our stay this past week. The kids were safe and could ride their bikes in Sunset or down to Grandparents’ house without a was so nice to see the ocean from our living room and bedroom and be able to walk the boardwalk all the way to the beach sand. It’s pet free so we didn’t have to worry about our daughter have an allergic reaction to pet dander. Forgotten Shores VP was so easy to work with. Their friendliness and support throughout our stay made our stay even more delightful. They truly value each customer.

We had a great time on SGI. The house was wonderful and the location was great.

Sunrises and sunsets, ocean and bay, multiple decks to savor the views, quiet streets, beautiful well maintained house with lots of extras. Best customer service experience that we have received in our 20 years of renting!

We arrived at Cruz Del Sur on Sunday afternoon.The house was very clean as always and very inviting.
The weather was great and the ocean was sounded so good as the waves break. Looking forward to our next visit.

House was clean but needs updating. Kitchen pots and pans are worn and need to be replaced. I found it odd that the departure instructions included stripping sheets off all beds as well as hand washing and drying all dishes. I’ve never had either of those requests in all our years renting vacation homes. Also, the TV service was not extensive which meant we were unable to watch March Madness basketball games directly on the TV.

It was nice to be so close to the beach which was not crowded. We enjoyed biking around the island.

Our group of 6 found this home to be comfortable and the location was convenient to the beach with beach access just across the street from our house.

We shared this beach house with another family of 5. The house was clean, updated, and had plenty of space for us to all spread out and have some privacy when we needed it. This home is in a great location on the island- literally next door to the state park. We rented a kayak and took it out for some exploring. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from your balcony, and the boardwalk across the road is fantastic beach access. It was great to have a full size washer and dryer, and the garage space under the home is so spacious. We were able to keep all our beach gear in there and eliminate a lot of sand from coming into the home. The hose and sprayer were an added bonus so we could spray ourselves and everything off. The house looked exactly like pictured on the website, and was even a little bigger than we expected.
Pros: Management company is great, location was fantastic, house was well stocked, great amenities, nice updates to home.
Cons: Only one bath towel provided per person, so we did lots of laundry. Pantry is very small, so we stored most food in a corner of the kitchen. There were two family reunions happening in two houses across from us that were beachfront. We are talking 7-8 cars parked at the homes and 30+ people at the beach. This made it very difficult to find beach space. We actually were not able to use the boardwalk across from the house since there was no room to set up at the beach. We ended up walking down to the access point across from the pool. The beachfront homes had renters who were very rude and would ask that you not set up canopies or umbrellas in front of their rental home. So, being a “back row” home renter made it difficult to find beach space to set up and play for the day. This is in NO way a problem with the beach company we rented from, but rather an issue with whoever is managing the beachfront homes in that neighborhood. They are not monitoring occupancy levels nor informing their renters that the bea

Cruz Del Sur is a fine home in a fantastic location. In our opinion, not much on the island beats the Sunset Beach location. And while nothing always goes 100%, we had a few blips during the week to which Jamie and her team were right on top of! That in and of itself should give renters (and property owners) a great level of comfort when renting. Thank you Jamie and Forgotten Shores Rentals for another wonderful family vacation week!

We enjoyed our stay at Cruz Del Sur. The house is beautiful, nicely furnished & has a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of space & wonderful views of the gulf and the bay. Would recommend this house to friends & family. We loved being on the east end of the island.

Our first visit to SGI and really pleased with Cruz Del Sur. Right by the bike path, state park, and a really short walk right to the beach. Had views of both the gulf and bay. Weather didn't allow us to use the community pool but it looked quite nice and just a few doors down from the house. Jamie was great to work with and provided clear instructions for arrival and departure. Only feedback that we provided her already was related to cleanliness of the kitchen items, but want to note that rest of house was very clean and nicely appointed.

This was our second time to stay at Cruz Del Sur. We love this place to relax and enjoy SGI. The beach is only a short walk from the house. The breathtaking view from this house is great.
