Hook, Wine N Sinker

We loved the location, the property is amazing, the wildlife is abundant and the house is very nice.

The pictures of this house do not do it justice, as soon as we pulled up I knew I would be in LOVE. The setting is nothing short of amazing!! We will definitely be back!!

We were so impressed with Hook, Wine, N Sinker. The house was beautiful inside and loved sitting on the screened in back porch every morning enjoying all the nature and view of the bay. The owners provided their guests with a detailed binder to popular attractions, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It was the little things that they did, that made it so nice! The house was very clean and everything that you need for a week long stay which makes for light traveling and an easy trip. This property offers a $250 credit toward beach gear to use during your time there which was awesome so that we did not have to bring our own beach chairs and umbrella. While at St. George Island we enjoyed the beach, State Park, and the various shops and attractions on the Island. Definitely would recommend this property for a family atmosphere and would be interested in future stays at this property and St. George Island.

We loved our stay at Hook, Wine and Sinker. We are already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in the door and found our wonderful welcome gift to when we had to leave, everything was perfect. The bike rental was also a huge plus. And it was convenient! Had the rental not been included, it’s something we may have never tried. But we did and had the best time biking. It brought back childhood memories for me and my adult daughter. We highly recommend. All the amenities were as described and so much more!!!

Outstanding accommodation..well appointed 2 BR, 2 BR idyllic location. Screened in porch became our favorite on the byway spot for family reunion. Office very responsive on request. Highly recommend.

We loved this rental. It was clean, well maintained and had all the comforts of my own home. The layout is perfect, the grounds are gorgeous. If you want the old Florida vibe with modern amenities, this place is for you.

Spent a month at this lovely rental and wish we could have stayed longer. Home has everything we needed and the wildlife viewing is spectacular. Have rented again for next year. Staff were so helpful anytime we needed anything. 5 stars.

We were pleasantly surprised with this house. We are usually staying in the island, but decided to try Eastpoint. So glad we did! The house was super cute, not overly huge and barren, like some places we stay. It was quaint, cute decor, and the perfect size for us and our friends. The home owner did an excellent job with labeling lights, and the amenities were phenomenal.
The property was great, with a pond (and river otters!). We see a few bears, but the bears kept their distance, as we did also. A nice little walk to the private beach in the bay. Great sunsets. And still super close to stores and restaurants.
Great vacation in the perfect house.

This place exceeded my expectations! It was so beautiful with lots of wildlife. We saw otters, all kinds of birds, and bears. The owners have made a little pathway to the shoreline. Take some crocs or boots because it is a little wet getting out there but totally worth the effort! The home is nicely furnished and decorated to provide an upscale but comfortable experience. The beds were all comfortable, even the twin bunk beds have comfortable mattresses. The pillows were nice and the linens were soft. I have food allergies, so cooking on vacation is a must and I found everything I needed in the kitchen to make delicious meals! The house was super clean and smelled really fresh. I made a note of the air filter they are using. Even after we cooked seafood, by the next day the smell was gone. It was quick and easy to get to St. George Island from this location as well as other local attractions. In the evenings the sunsets were spectacular! We were able to bring our doodles and the girls really enjoyed their stay too! The owners have created a wonderful indoor and outdoor space to enjoy the best the Forgotten Coast has to offer! If you want to be immersed in a true Florida living experience, this is the place to stay!

Everything was above expectations. Property was close to SJI, Carrabell, and Apalachicola. Very private, great location, great accommodation.

This was the perfect place to just go and relax. The view was great, with lots of wildlife. We enjoyed the hot tube and game room. The house had everything we needed and so much more. We ventured out to St. George Island, Apalachicola, and Cape San Blas. Thank you for letting us bring our pups and we hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved staying at Hook, Wine, N Sinker! It is a very unique location since it is adjacent to a natural reserve. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching wildlife, which included small alligators, several raccoons, gray foxes, and a variety of birds. The house itself was clean, stylish, and comfortable. The amenities made the trip extra enjoyable. If we visit this area of Florida again, we will definitely rent this property. It helped provide us with a very relaxing vacation in a get-away-from-it-all location.

First of all I do not have enough words to compliment and describe how nice and accomodating the Forgotten Shores staff are. Thankyou again Lindsey and Jamie yalls help with the tv! as I said we are two very techno challenged seniors...the property was extremely comfortable and clean...I mean really clean! The setting is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the bird chorus every morning. Convienent location beach, gas, groceries or roads to any direction for exploration of this unique area of Florida. I urge any body reading this to come and soak up some of this Forgotten Coast and “Old Florida” thanks again for everything!

It was a great place. Clean and very equipped kitchen. They’ve thought of everything. Wish our stay had been longer. We never got a glimpse of the bear but saw a small gator. Great family time.

Instructions to find home were great. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Plenty of cooking utensils, because even though we’re on vacation I prefer to cook. Everything was within a short driving distance. Beautiful beaches and great fishing. There was lots of wildlife! There were signs posted about bears and alligators and such-we thought maybe an alligator or two in the canal behind the house, but to our surprise, we saw a bear in the yard, an alligator in the canal, a bald eagle, an owl and lots of other wildlife. It was an amazing experience.

Enjoyed every second at Hook, Wine & Sinker! One of our very best Thanksgivings! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place! The Hicks Family, Darrell, Theresa, Melody and Sarge!
